There seems to be some banana picking/packing on farms between brisbane and cairns. im thinking that we will just have to rock up at these farms and hope for the best.

Hiya I’m from the UK looking to book a flight to Sidney in the next month and begin my adventures. I heard there are picking jobs with supported accommodation? Anyone been to these? What are they like? I’ll be a single traveller.

    Hi Everyone,

I’ve been fruit picking around Australia and now getting ready to go travelling. Recently I obtained tax refund estimate, I will be getting $3,500 and I am absolutely stoked :D :D :D

But prior to proceeding I asked their fees, the agent said it would be 11% of the refund!!!!!!!

I was nearly on the floor, so thats $385 to do my tax!

Can anyone recommend any Tax Agents that will do it for a reasonable price.

    Thanks

    Antoni

    Hi Everyone,

What’s the deal with getting your Super Annuation, how does it work? Im from england and on my 2nd WHV ( after completing rural work).

Can you still be in Australia when you apply for your Super Refund? Pretty good when employers are contributing 9% of your gross pay towards super and we’re able to claim it back? Are we able too?

    Thanks

    Antoni

    Hi Antoni,

How are you? First of all not all companies charge the 11%, I believe it is absurb to be honest. It’s unfair to working holiday makers, you guys shouldn’t have to pay a cent more then the average aussie does!

In relation to actual firms pricing, check out the comparison table we created onsite.

It’s your decision from there which agent you’re going to use :) From our research Tax Elite has the most competitive price structure and Taxback.com have the most offices around Australia.

Hope that helps and don’t be scared to ask anymore questions.

    Cheers

    Dimitri
